Living every fitting
After a few weeks of rest we return to the load with more strength and energy than ever and with the desire to tell you our best kept secrets.
As you know, with the change of dates in the official Mercedes Benz Fashion Week calendar, our last fashion show of the Spring-Summer 2019 collection took place at the beginning of July. Once again our dresses for cocktails and events were up on the runway to show our vision of a summer night charged with feminism and that accessible luxury of which our Brand boasts. But each show is for us months of work and endless days that are accentuated just before the appointment with the runway when, a few days before our show takes place, the fittings begin.
The fitting of each collection usually takes place two days before the key date. The testing days begin early in Ifema where, once the collection is finished, the models go through our dressing room to try out the dresses and outfits with which they will walk over the runway. This is our first real approach to how the collection will look on the show.
Each model walk and pose in the dressing room with the full looks that will be on the catwalk and this is the time to make the necessary adjustments and changes between the different models and the looks of each one. At this moment we decide what will be the order of the show, what looks each model will take and how to defend it on the catwalk, indicating each movement so that the dresses and garments look as we have thought.
The fittings tend to be long and exhausting but very satisfying for us. The nerves increase every minute that passes but every hour we see closer the birth of a new collection.
