A new Madrid Fashion Week edition is near and with it new and exciting runway moments, but also a lot of effort, and hard work, associated to the new collection that we will present.
Once more, our fashion show at Madrid Fashion Week is a follow-on the day by day at the atelier. It is the final touch to months of work but, at the same time, the birth of a new proposal that will see the light at the show, a moment that we look forward to with excitement and nerves.
But until the time of the show comes we have to go through a lot of work and stress in backstage. Each fashion show begins days before, when our collection arrives at Ifema and it is the turn of the fitting. In the dressing room assigned to us, we wait for each of the models to be able to try on each one of the dresses and garments of the collection and to carry out the necessary adjustments so that each garment fits the model perfectly.
When the fitting has finished the dresses and garments that need adjustments go back to the atelier so that hours before the presentation of the new collection everything is ready and each look fits perfectly to each model.
The same day of the fashion show the models will go through the dressing room one hour before, after going through makeup and hairdressing, so that we can dress them and control every detail of the look, from each one of the complements, to each seam in its place.
With full outfits, the models leave the dressing room so that, in the back of the catwalk, we can give the last review, both to each dress and to makeup and hairdressing.
Once ready they wait for the indications of the technical team to go out to the catwalk. The lights go out, the music sounds, silence ... the show is about to start!.
