Now that the end of the year is approaching we take stock of all the events and special moments for THE 2ND SKIN CO. and we didn't want to miss the opportunity to tell you about one of the milestones that have marked in the brands history.
2018 was very special for us thanks to the wedding of Spanish socialite Alejandra de Rojas for whom we designed one of our most special wedding dresses.
The wedding took place on December 1st and from the moment she contacted us and told us that she wanted her wedding dress to have our signature, we knew that this dress was going to be very special.
With little time in advance, but with very clear ideas, Alejandra made her first visit to the atelier and the whole team got down to work to create, in record time, the wedding dress of her dreams.
Before this occasion we had already worked with Alejandra and we knew that designing her wedding dress would be a fascinating adventure. With her, everything is easy. That's why it wasn't complicated to get the idea of what she wanted: a winter wedding dress, that breathed fashion and that didn't have a classic style.
From these ideas we proposed four sketches from which she chose one. The final design became a dress with a long-sleeved tweed bodice with a high neckline topped with a tiny lace lace trim and a flared skirt above the ankle, with pockets and overlays of different laces made in Spain. Apparently it looks like a two-piece except for the detail of the buttons that run along the back lined with tweed and lace, which confirm that it is a one-piece. To complete the look we suggested a beige leather belt that contrasts with the bone tone of the dress.
Undoubtedly, the creation of this special dress has been a fascinating adventure that has left us several images to remember that we will always keep with affection.
